Hello and welcome to Nikki’s Crafts
I’m Nikki, the founder and creator of Nikki’s Crafts.
Creativity has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I was surrounded by it my Grandma spent her days knitting, sewing, decorating, and baking, often using fresh produce from my Grandad’s lovingly tended garden. At home, my Mum continued the tradition, sewing, knitting, and baking for my sister and me. It’s from these early experiences that my love for creating (YES I was just like the child in the liquid advert wanting to make a rocket) and my strong work ethic were born.
At school, I was lucky to have an inspiring art & design teacher who encouraged my creativity and nurtured my passion for design an influence I will always be truly grateful to her.
After leaving school, I began a career in retail, gaining valuable experience in a variety of roles. Yet, I always felt something was missing the opportunity to experiment, create, and work independently.
Seeking more from my career and life, I retrained as a childcare provider, embarking on a wonderfully rewarding 18 year career. Even then my creative spirit never left me. I often found myself crafting alongside the children I cared for, and at home, I began creating handcrafted items for friends and family on request. Over time, my eclectic crafting style and passion for making unique, personalised items grew and Nikki’s Crafts was born.
What I love most is connecting with customers, discussing their ideas, and creating a bespoke piece tailored to their exact vision. Every frame and handmade item I create is a personal expression of creativity, care, and individuality.
